Clearance made to measure screens are made from the same grade aluminium chain that is present over the full price range. The clearance screens are made from the small amounts of chain left over from bags when completing full price screens so there can be some differences across the screen. Fly screens are a popular and effective way of keeping insects out and can be a stylish addition to homes, places of work, schools, care homes, caravan/mobile homes and the like. In the warmer months are they are a must for kitchens and commerial food preparation areas .They can also be used as internal decor to divide rooms and spaces as well as a different and interesting wall covering.

Our screens are made from high quality anodised aluminium chain fixed to a strong aluminium rail. Both are sourced in Europe. All our screens are then made to measure in our workshop in Yorkshire. 

Chain screens can be fitted internally or externally, can be easily removed and are quick and simple to install, needing only two or three screws.

When measuring for a door or window chain fly screen, take the opening size and add 20mm (0.75") to the width so the screen overlaps the frame, and add 50mm (2") to the height of the opening to account for the hanging rail. The finished size of the screen supplied will be the size requested including the hanging rail. The links are 24mm in length so screens will be +/- 12mm.If you intend to order hanging brackets then please ensure there is at least 50mm clearance at the top of the frame to fix the brackets (35mm) and provide space (15mm) to hook the hanging rail over.

The brackets that can be purchased separately are 35mm in depth and you need an additional 15mm (50mm in total) clearance above the door/window so that the hanging rail can be hooked over the top. The brackets are supplied with screws to fit to PVC, wooden and metal frames. Ceiling Brackets are also available. Matching coloured screw caps are also provided along with simple installation instructions. We supply all chain products with 3 wood screws and 3 self-tapping screws if brackets arent purchased - these can be used to hang the chain rail. We recommend a pair of brackets for each 1m width.
